CD Projekt Red has some exciting news about its upcoming game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — there will be two huge expansions coming along with it.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt isn't even out yet, but CD Projekt Red has announced that there are already two expansions slated to come out later this year and in early 2016. As with most games that come out with DLCs, The Witcher 3 will release with a Expansion Pass that will include both the 'Hearts of Stone' expansion and the 'Blood and Wine' expansion. Marcin Iwiński, CD Projekt Red's co-founder, has some words of wisdom surrounding the Expansion Pass:

While we're offering the Expansion Pass now, we want to make one thing clear: don't buy it if you have any doubts. Wait for reviews or play The Witcher and see if you like it first. As always, it's your call.

However, there won't be much of a reason not to buy the Expansion Pass if you already know that you're going to love The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Combined, the expansions will offer approximately 30 additional hours of play time. 'Hearts of Stone' will take Geralt to No Man's Land and Oxenfurth in order to complete a contract with the Man of Glass. 'Blood and Wine' will introduce Toussaint and lead you to a land that you think you will never want to leave, until you find out its deep, dark secret. CD Projekt Red announced it has a ton of DLC lined up for Geralt of Rivia that was going to be free, so this is just the premium icing on the cake.

'Hearts of Stone' is set to premiere in October while 'Blood and Wine' won't be making its way to shelves until the first quarter of 2016, but you can look out for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to premiere on May 19 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
