CD Projekt Red has posted another impressive-looking trailer for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, showcasing Geralt's awesome combat system.

In this trailer, we get a look at Ciri in action. Ciri is a beautiful, living weapon who is capable of both saving the world and detroying it. Since the Wild Hunt is pursing her, she's going to need Geralt's help to survive. Sometime throughout The Witcher 3's story, you'll unlock the ability to play as Ciri. CD Projekt Red notes that Ciri is a major character, but she's not as playable as Geralt. We have a feeling you'll only get to play as her in short intervals, which might be similar to Catwoman's story sequences in Batman: Arkham City. Watching her fight is interesting, as she's incredibly fast and able to dispatch groups of enemies in just a few quick strokes. Her super-fast speed reminds us of Quicksilver from The Avengers: Age of Ultron. We can't wait to see what else she can do.

In terms of Geralt, this trailer showcases his gritty combat system. While CD Projekt Red released a dev diary showcasing combat against the game's monsters earlier this week, this video highlights combat against humans. Things are looking to be bloody, as Geralt is able to instantly decapitate and dismember his foes. Throw in some ranged and magical attacks, and the fighting will get quite violent in the Northern Realms.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will finally launch on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One starting May 19.
