The Sims FreePlay is getting an all-new Supernatural update that will feature a lot of festive additions like ghosts, costumes, and even some cameos from other games. The best part? There's no need to go door-to-door for this treat!

There's just something about The Sims that compels fans to keep coming back for more. When they're all done taking the time out of real life to live out a fake one, players can always rest assured that expansions and updates will come down the chute, ready to breathe new life into the game. Each new iteration also seems to progressively get weirder, adding to the game's fun.

The newest of these expansions is The Sims 3: Supernatural, which came out for the PC and Mac in September 2012. Fans who play The Sims FreePlay should be delighted to know a Supernatural update is now available for them too!

The Supernatural content adds some spooky new features to give the game some Halloween cheer, if such a thing exists. One of the coolest new features is ghost hunting, presumably for those wishing to relive The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo. If players can complete the Ghost Hunting Challenge and collect all 12 ghosts by November 12, they'll unlock a limited edition Haunted House!

For the fashion-minded, there's a costume shop that players can build in order to dress up their characters and pursue their virtual cosplaying dreams. One particularly strange addition are seeds that your Sims can plant that either grow into crops you can sell, or a Sim-eating monstrosity that resembles Audrey II from Little Shop of Horrors. Speaking of famous characters, you can catch cameos of Bejeweled Blitz's Anchovy the Cat and the Conehead Zombie from Plants Vs. Zombies (albeit in the form of an outfit). Some of the more normal additions include new organic recipes that can catch on fire but can also give you big rewards, and a Competition Center where players can earn Lifestyle Points, Simoleons, and XP through events.

The update is already live, so you can go download it now for your iPhone & iPad and start experiencing the spookiness faster than you can sing, "Suddenly, Seymour"!
