Soon we'll all be able to own Hyrule as Monopoly: The Legend of Zelda Edition is hitting GameStops stores next month.
The game follows the basic Monopoly rules, but instead of placing houses and hotels on Park Place and Boardwalk we'll be tasked with planting Deku Sprouts and Deku Trees on Hyrule Castle and the Temple of Time, along with many other famous locales from the series.
The game comes with six playable pieces: the Bow, Hookshot, Boomerang, Triforce, Hylian Shield, and the GameStop-exclusive Ocarina of Time. How GameStop got an exclusive in a board game is something we'll never know, but hey there it is. Chance and Community Cards are now called Empty Bottle and Treasure Chest Cards, while six new Item Power Cards, also GameStop exclusives, add a new wrinkle to the gameplay somehow.
We see a lot of Zelda locations on the full board above, some from older Zelda games like Majora's Mask's Great Bay and others from brand new games like Link Between Worlds' Lorule Castle. While the normal Monopoly squares like Go To Jail and Free Parking look wildly out of place, we suppose there has to be some kind of consistency.
Monopoly: The Legend of Zelda Edition is coming Sept. 15 to GameStop, and you can pre-order it right here if you want to jump in.
