For one night only, the crew of The Last of Us put on a live show that ran down everything from a deleted scene that takes place after the game ends to the hilarious musical alternate ending.

The Last of Us: One Night Live took place in Santa Monica, California on July 28, 2014. There, Naughty Dog allowed fans to relive key scenes from the game acted out by the principal actors, directed by Neil Druckmann himself. There was also a live performance of the excellent score by Gustavo Santaolalla, the game's composer.

Fans were treated to a special scene written by Druckmann that was never recorded -- the story's epilogue. The crowd was asked not to film anything, as this was a scene set four years after the end of the game during which Joel gifts Ellie with a guitar and plays a song for her. You can read up on audience descriptions on this NeoGAF thread.

One of the biggest highlights of the night was when the actors performed the infamous alternate ending scene that played out like an impromptu musical. There's nothing like seeing Troy Baker belting out lines as Joel, and it's even better when he's singing them like a Broadway performance.

Watch the rather lengthy video above and look forward to our review of The Last of Us Remastered on the PlayStation 4.
