We here at Arcade Sushi are very excited for The Last of Us, the post-apocalyptic adventure coming from Naughty Dog. So anytime more news comes out concerning the game, some of us turn into one of those weird, plant-like rage monsters that Joel and Ellie have to face.

Naughty Dog has posted on the PlayStation Blog with juicy new details about the pre-order bonuses that will be available for those who can't wait to get their hands on The Last of Us.

Pre-ordering at participating retailers will ensure that you score the Sights & Sounds Pack, which includes the official game soundtrack, a PS3 Dynamic Theme, and Joel and Ellie in winter gear to use as PSN avatars.

If you pre-order at GameStop, you'll get the the Sights & Sounds Pack and the Survival Pack. The Survival Pack contains bonus exp for multiplayer, a multiplayer melee attack booster, extra in-game starter cash, special items to customize your character in multiplayer, and bonus character skins for Joel and Ellie that will become available after beating the single player campaign.

As the GameStop pre-order bonuses might hint, there will be a multiplayer component to the game, though Naughty Dog has yet to reveal any details about it. Maybe the fact that there's a multiplayer means there will also be a beta for it?

The Last of Us will be out on May 7, 2013, so get to pre-ordering! In the meantime, check out the trailer below, which premiered at the 2012 VGA, and tell us your thoughts on a multiplayer mode for this game.
