In an effort to get our blood pumping and our hype train a-rolling, Yacht Club Games has released a new trailer for Shovel Knight. It's pretty damn awesome.
The highly successful Shovel Knight Kickstarter campaign ended yesterday with a total pledge amount of $311,502. Yacht Club Games' initial plan was to reach $75,000, and by more than tripling its amount the developer reached all its stretch goals.
Shovel Knight, one of the latest games to boast a Kickstarter success story, will wrap up its campaign later tonight, having blasted past its $75,000 goal and coming close to its final stretch goal. In order to celebrate their success, the devs at Yacht Club Games are entertaining the masses by live-streaming their gaming marathon.
Shovel Knight continues its Kickstarter success after it exceeded its $130,000 stretch goal over the weekend. Thanks to this achievement, Shovel Knight will be available in Mac and Linux versions, along with the previously announced PC, Nintendo Wii U, and Nintendo 3DS.
Shovel Knight, which met its $75,000 Kickstarter goal on March 30th, has another reason to celebrate. Developer Yacht Club Games has added Mega Man composer Manami Matsumae to the project!
Shovel Knight is staying true to its 8-bit, old school thinking, as it will be shipped out as a completed game sans all the downloadable content and additions that are slathered on most titles.
Shovel Knight, a game that's being developed for the PC, is wearing its heart on its 8-bit infused sleeve and is taking that passion to Kickstarter. Yacht Club Games is attempting to raise $75,000 by Saturday, April 13th.
