Well, it's happened. Bethesda has confirmed that it's cancelled Prey 2, the sequel to the spirit-walking first person shooter, Prey.

Speculation about what Arkane Studios' was going to do to follow up Dishonored has been running wild since the 2012 game was a hit. Whatever the project is, we now know it's definitely a next generation title.

Bethesda and Arkane have been playing things rather close to the vest when it comes to Prey 2, but new information has come to light giving some credence to the rumors the Dishonored devs are now working on the sci-fi sequel.

A while back, we heard tell that Bethesda was not satisfied with Human Head’s work on Prey 2. Rumors and leaks have put the game solidly in a state of limbo, and no one really has spent the time to talk about it or its eventual fate. However, it looks as if Bethesda’s parent company Zenimax isn’t willing to give up on the IP just yet.
