The latest installment of Killzone for the PS Vita will be getting two free multiplayer maps today.
Guerrilla Cambridge's Killzone: Mercenary is a console-sized first-person shooter specially outfitted for the PlayStation Vita. While it's not the first Killzone game to show up on a handheld console, does Mercenary make its mark as one of the best titles to keep on your shelf? Or does it really live up to its name by taking your money and disappearing into the "trade-in bin" when the job's done?
Recently, we got to play a special press only build of Killzone Mercenary’s single-player campaign. You’ll be happy to know that this Vita installment of the much loved Killzone franchise is not just a slap dash port. It’s a fully-fledged Killzone title with its own story, mechanics, and atmosphere. If it weren’t for the slightly uncomfortable controls and tiny screen, it would be easy to mistake this for a PS3 Killzone game.
Sony and Guerilla Games have announced Killzone: Mercenary will finally hit the PlayStation Vita on Sept. 17th.
