Capybara Games has announced that they've delayed the release of Super Time Force in order to self-publish it on the Xbox One via the ID@Xbox program.

A post on the Capybara Games site revealed its side-scrolling, time-traveling run 'n gun platformer is coming to Xbox One and Xbox 360's XBLA at the same time.

Because of the simultaneous release, the devs need a little more time to polish the game, which is why Super Time Force's release has been pushed back into 2014.

Capybara Games is working on both Super Time Force and a game called Below at the same time, which might be another reason why the game's been delayed.

Nathan Vella, co-founder and president at Capybara Games, and Kris Piotrowski, creative director and game designer at Capybara Games, said: "With these projects, we’re constantly exploring new ideas, and doing so generally means we need to keep our games in the oven for as long as humanly possible. It’s the nature of the beast, but it’s also core to the personality of our studio. We take our time and we aim for the stars, but that often results in the intervals between our games being longer than we (or our beloved fans) may anticipate."

Look forward to the insane run 'n gun action in 2014 on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
