Blinky, Pinky, Inky and Clyde are back to haunt Pac-Man and the rest of his competition in this all-new level coming to the Nintendo 3DS edition of Super Smash Bros.

Polygon reports that Masahiro Sakurai, creator of both the Super Smash Bros. and the Kirby series, has posted a description and some pictures of a Pac-Man themed level on Nintendo's Twitter-like Miiverse website. Sakurai claims that the Pac-Man battleground will be exclusive to the Nintendo 3DS version of Super Smash Bros. The stage itself features all of the classic sounds and visuals from the original arcade version of Pac-Man that was released in 1980. The ghosts act as environmental hazards, causing extreme damage if they touch your character. After collecting all 100 dots in the ghost-filled level, power pellets will sporadically appear, giving you the ability to fight back against the ghosts.

Sakurai posted an explanation of the level along with a couple of screenshots (provided below).

"If you eat a Power Pellet, the monsters will become vulnerable and you can defeat them just by touching them," Sakurai's post explained. "An important point is that the monsters will become vulnerable only on your screen, which means that they can still damage your opponents!! This is one of the unique game features only possible in the 3DS version."

Be ready to brawl, melee and wavedash your way through the competition when Super Smash Bros. launches on Nintendo 3DS on Oct. 3. The Wii U version of Super Smash Bros. will launch sometime this holiday season.
