The Gamescom trailer for Insomniac Games' upcoming shooter Sunset Overdrive debuted during Xbox's conference this morning, and as expected there's tons of shooting, gross monsters, and the color orange. What we didn't expect, however, is a new faction of enemies to battle.

This trailer comes to us from the perspective of Floyd, a head scientist at the company who's developing the energy drink turning everyone in Sunset City into horrible monsters. He tells us about the FizzCo robots being deployed throughout the city with the sole purpose of cleaning up the mess left by the Overdrive drink. "FizzCo cover-up, begin!" comes out of one of the robot's speakers, so they're not even being subtle about their task.

This adds a whole new dimension to the Sunset Overdrive story, one that we're pretty excited about. Killing monsters is fun and all, but for a while we had wondered how the company at the center of all this would enter the fray. As it turns out, they're getting their hands dirty with mechs designed to kill us, which just gives up more things to blow up. We're not seeing a single problem here.

Also announced during the Gamescom event was the confirmation of the Sunset Overdrive Xbox One console bundle. The bundle will include a white Xbox One console and a copy of Sunset Overdrive for $399.99, the same price as an Xbox One with no game included right now. That's a pretty good deal for anyone who hasn't adopted yet, though there will be plenty of bundle to choose from by the time the holidays roll around.

Sunset Overdrive launches Oct. 28 exclusively on Xbox One.
