Double Dragon Neon was an awesome HD remake of a classic game steeped in cheesy '80s atmosphere. It proved that this age old series still had some life in it. But did you know that another Double Dragon re-make was meant to come out in 2011? Gravity, the studio behind the MMO Dragonica, decided to take on the series by producing an HD remake of Double Dragon II in full 3D! The game was slated to come out in September 2011 but word of its release never came. Unfortunately, we haven’t heard much about the project since then … until now!

Xbox 360 Achievements did what they do best and recently uploaded a full achievement list for Double Dragon II: Wander of the Dragons. Traditionally, full achievement lists like this only get leaked when a game is confirmed to be releasing, and soon! It’s generally only a few months or even weeks between a game’s listing on Xbox 360 Achievements and its launch.

The revealed achievements also point toward a few gameplay features in the as of yet unreleased game. For example, one achievement asks you to, “end three successive rounds in a draw in VS mode” a mode we had not previously known about. The achievements also mention a survival mode, co-op play, several difficulty settings, and a few stage names like the Heliport and the Field of Death.

As of now, an official release date for the game hasn’t been given. However, the game still has a listing on Microsoft's official Xbox Marketplace website. Keep your eyes open. We might be seeing this one hit the Xbox LIVE Arcade soon enough.
