Theatrhythm Final Fantasy brought all of the excellent soundtracks of the Final Fantasy franchise into one game that we could tap along to, but it sounds like Square Enix doesn't want the Theatrhythm of the night to stop there.

CVG reports that the series may continue after the new Theatrhythm Final Fantasy game, Curtain Call, releases in a few weeks. Producer Ichiro Hazama, acknowledged that Curtain Call has basically run through the entire library of noteworthy Final Fantasy songs, but this fact doesn't mean we're at the end of the series, because we all know that the word "final" in Final Fantasy is a misnomer.

"From my personal view, I really like what we've created here: the Theatrhythm series and the type of game," Hazama said to Planet 3DS according to the CVG article. "And yes, even though this is the end of Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy, I really don't want to bring the Theatrhythm series as a whole to an end."

We have a few ideas on where the Theatrhythm franchise should go next, Mr. Hazama. Kingdom Hearts, Xenosaga, Dragon Quest, Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross, and even one-off RPGs like Vagrant Story and The Last Remnant would be perfect fodder for some rhythmic tapping action.

Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call launches September 16 for Nintendo 3DS.
