Square Enix Promises a Final Fantasy Game for PS4

The company didn't have much to show, but Square Enix promised a new Final Fantasy game was in the works for the PlayStation 4.

Square merely hit the stage to show off the Luminous Engine once again, though the demo is more than a few months old at this point. There wasn't a lot of new information about any games coming from the company, however, Final Fantasy brand manager Shinji Hashimoto did do a pop-in to make one key promise.

A new Final Fantasy game is currently in development for the PlayStation 4. More details were promised at E3. Unfortunately, on a night where Square could have really blown people away, they sort of blew it, and the vague hope a new game was coming didn't make as much of an impact as actual game footage from several other developers at the event.
