According to a post over at FinalFantasy.Net, Square Enix has revealed a teaser site in Japanese that's set up for people to pre-register for their newest mobile effort -- Final Fantasy Tactics.

Will Square Enix be able to put that whole Final Fantasy: All the Bravest fiasco behind them and take a step forward? We'll have to wait and see. But signs right now are pointing to somewhere in the middle. The new Final Fantasy Tactics game will be a Mobage release, indicating that there will likely be plenty of free-to-play bells and whistles attached to the game to make it more of a social-gaming experience.

Here's the skinny via FinalFantasy.net:

Square Enix has opened a new Japanese website and pre-registration for a new smartphone title called Final Fantasy Tactics S. This “social” game, something of a spinoff of the Ivalice Alliance, will feature designs originally created by Ryoma Ito. The game will also include races, jobs, and monsters featured in 2008′s Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift for the Nintendo DS.

As of right now, there's been no firm release date mentioned. Knowing Square, that could mean sometime later this year or next week. We'll keep our ear to the ground and let you know if we hear anything.
