Splinter Cell: Blacklist Trailer: An Engineered Threat

The latest trailer for Splinter Cell: Blacklist is all about the mysterious threat Sam Fisher will face, and gives us a more cinematic look at the upcoming sequel.

Ubisoft isn’t pulling any punches for its promotion of the next anticipated Splinter Cell game, due out on Aug. 20. There’s been a steady deluge of trailers over the past few months, and with the game just a few weeks away, we’re getting better ideas of just what to expect from every aspect of the sequel.

This latest video is a bit like a movie trailer in its presentation, and shows a lot more of the narrative than we’ve been exposed to previously. Part of what’s made Splinter Cell such a fan favorite series, outside of the great stealth gameplay, is the international intrigue of the spy genre. Based on this footage, Blacklist is certainly going to be chock full of mystery and action. We can’t wait to see how it all unfolds.
