Since Destiny was released, the team working on it has been putting out updates and now Bungie's revealed there's a chance sparrow racing could join the fold.

Though fans have been making up their own racing games with Destiny's vehicles, Sparrow racing is still considered an "underground" sport. GameSpot spoke to Bungie about the racing circuit, and the developer is well-aware of the custom racing that's been going on in-game.

At PlayStation Experience this past weekend, Eric Osborne, Bungie's community manager, came forth to say that Bungie is definitely considering the idea of implementing sparrow races into Destiny. "It's definitely an idea that has come up at the studio," he said. "And there are dozens and dozens and dozens of cool ideas." That seems like a whole lot of ideas and there are a whole lot of other times that Bungie has said that it is considering fan and player feedback as to what to add into its games.

However, he also added, "Part of the process of sustaining [Destiny] is figuring out what's the most bang for the buck, what's the right feedback to go after and address, how do we deliver the experiences that players want. And race is definitely one of the things that has come up as a topic, so we'll see." He went on to add that while it is considering it, that by no means infers that it will be going through with it.

With The Dark Below expansion coming out, Bungie will have twelve total updates to its game and Osborne is insisting that it's not slowing down. We'll just have to see what Bungie has up its sleeve as time goes on, but in the meantime, fans will just have to keep making their own backroom races at the Tower.
