Wish you could watch the PlayStation E3 Press Conference in an audience of gamers? While it may be too late to book flights and a hotel for the expo, your local movie theater might be airing a simulcast of the event.

The PlayStation Blog has announced that on June 9, over 40 movie theaters throughout the United States will be airing a live, HD stream of PlayStation's E3 press conference. Hosted by Geoff Keighley, this silver screen version of the Sony presentation will also provide 30 minutes of exclusive bonus content, such as extra game footage, developer interviews -- there will even be some gifts for a few lucky ticket holders. We know, movie ticket prices have been on the rise and all those summer blockbusters are burning a whole in your wallet. That's why Sony has made the event completely free. All you need to do is register in advance for your free ticket at Event Grid.

If you can't make it to any of the theaters hosting the event, you can still stream the conference from your computer or mobile device at the PlayStation Blog. The PlayStation E3 Experience will be taking place at 8:30pm ET/5:30pm PT on Monday, June 9. We suggest that you register as soon as possible since the event will be free.
