It didn't take long for the creative minds toiling away in the world of Minecraft to bring one of the first replica Columbias from BioShock Infinite to life in blocky goodness.

How do they get that city to stay afloat in the sky? That's not just a question you'll be asking when playing BioShock Infinite anymore. Courtesy of Minecrafter ilikecutepeople, we'll now be wondering the same thing about this replica Columbia crafted entirely out of the block-based materials in Minecraft.

While not quite as grand in scope, the homage to Irrational's latest sequel invokes the beauty and craftsmanship of the original Columbia well enough. From the sky-lines to the iconic architecture of the early 1900s, it's clear plenty of hard work went into painstakingly bringing Comstock's (almost), heaven to life.

The video below gives you a up close look at the Minecraft version from plenty of angles, and while it's not going to be the last Minecraft Infinite recreatino, it's certainly going to be one of the most memorable.

What do you think of Minecraft Infinite? What's your favorite Minecraft homage?
