The folks at Frictional Games, the wonderful sickos behind Amnesia: The Dark Descent, are going to be bringing a new survival horror called SOMA to the PlayStation 4.

In an update on the PlayStation Blog, Thomas Grip, Creative Director at Frictional Games, provides us with new information on SOMA, which is projected for release in 2015.

Frictional Games is apparently a week away from the alpha phase of the game, with about five hours of SOMA currently built. The final game is supposed to clock in at around eight hours to complete.

Grip listed five of the goals that Frictional Games has for SOMA which are: giving it the feeling of playing a narrative, making a coherently crafted world, crafting gameplay with plenty of variation, giving players deep, disturbing themes that make them think and instilling a pervasive sense of horror.

There's still a year left in the development process, so we'll have to wait a good while to get our hands on it. Grip also promised that there's a big secret about SOMA that will be revealed very soon, so we'll keep you updated as more information is revealed.
