British satirist and former games journalist Charlie Brooker is used to taking shots at people, but now he'll be able to aim for himself in Sniper Elite 3.

According to JoyStiq, Brooker is a huge fan of the Sniper Elite series. In fact, he's such a huge fan that he was invited by developer Rebellion to appear in Sniper Elite 3. Now, this cameo won't be a particularly heroic or glamorous one, being that he'll likely be a non-player character that players will be able to snipe, but the inclusion of Brooker as a super-fan is still pretty cool.

Rebellion boss Jason Kingsley said in a press release, "At one stage it seemed like Charlie mentioned Sniper Elite every few weeks in his Guardian columns and we're incredibly grateful for his support, so this seemed like the perfect way to say 'thanks.' We really appreciate Charlie championing a British-made game series."

You'll get your chance to spot Brooker's cameo in Sniper Elite 3 when it's released for the PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on July 1.
