We finally have a release date for Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker. We also have a new trailer showcasing this new Triangulum story arc and the return of Nicaea.

We know, there are a lot of Shin Megami Tensei titles out there, especially once you start to factor in all the Persona titles. SMT: Devil Survivor 2 already debuted on the Nintendo DS back in 2012, but its updated version, Record Breaker, is going to be the definitive way of playing this RPG. Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker is going to feature everything we loved from the original DS title with new voice acting added in for a vast majority of its dialogue. Record Breaker will have a new female character, a new scenario, a casual mode and all sorts of additional features. This new scenario, the Triangulum arc, can be accessed from the start of the game and takes place after Devil Survivor 2's ending.

Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker's protagonist will return with Daichi and Io in the Triangulum arc's additional 40 hours of new content, which features the return of the Nicaea website. For those who don't remember, Nicaea was this website that would let viewers see how their friends would die, which actually started to happen in Devil Survivor 2. While you and your Demon-taming friends originally stopped those responsible for it, the website has mysteriously relaunched in the new Triangulum scenario and the gang must return to shut it down for good.

SMT: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker will launch on the Nintendo 3DS on May 5 for the suggested price of $49.99.
