Wei Shen's undercover, open world adventure is being rebuilt for next-gen consoles.

The Definitive Edition of Sleeping Dogs has appeared on Amazon, heralding the return of Wei Shen's amazing, action-filled adventure through Hong Kong. This time, Hong Kong will be optimized for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Originally intended to be True Crime: Streets of Hong Kong, Square Enix decided to make Sleeping Dogs its own game, and it deserves it.

In an era where the Grand Theft Auto-style of open world games is its own genre, Sleeping Dogs excels as one of the best and most unique open world experiences you play outside of a Rockstar title. The Definitive Edition will also include all of Sleeping Dogs' previously released downloadable content, which would add up to over $85 in expenditures if you were to buy each one separately.

Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition will reportedly come out for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Oct. 14. Pre-ordering the game at participating retailers will give you the Limited Edition of the re-release, which includes an exclusive art book that features 28 pages of Sleeping Dogs' original concept art.
