Shovel Knight, which met its $75,000 Kickstarter goal on March 30th, has another reason to celebrate. Developer Yacht Club Games has added Mega Man composer Manami Matsumae to the project!

In a statement posted on Shovel Knight's Kickstarter page, Matsumae revealed this is the first time she has worked on a Western game. "It's quite exciting," said the composer. "Shovel Knight and I are a good fit. So...let's get shovelin'?"

Under the collaboration, Matsumae will compose two tracks for the 8-bit infused title. The Kickstarter campaign ends April 13th, and currently Yacht Club games has $99,608 to work with.

With the increased funding comes stretch goals that have been met, and yesterday Yacht Club Games announced an achievement system that will be integrated into Shovel Knight. The achievements will be featured in all systems, including the Nintendo 3DS and the Wii U.
