ShootMania Storm Prepares For $100,000 Weekend Launch Event

Nadeo and Ubisoft are not exactly releasing ShootMania Storm in a subtle fashion, but when you have a first-person shooter on your hands, why not take it to the limit? This weekend, a ShootMania launch event will take place at the Cobb Theater in San Francisco.

Starting Saturday morning, the sixteen qualifying teams from North America and Europe will compete for a share of the coveted $100,000 prize. Launch event attendees will also get the chance to participate in four separate tournaments, each of which have a $500 prize pool.

The game comes out April 10th, and on its release date players around the world can participate in the ShootMania 4 All experience. Parties will be held in various areas in North America and Europe, and for details on whether a launch party is being held near you, check out the game's official site.
