We all know that Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor is about taking the fight to Sauron, but in its upcoming Bright Lord DLC, you'll get to fight him mano a mano.

According to IGN, the next big piece of downloadable content coming to Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor is the Bright Lord pack, which will allow you to play as Talion's wraith companion, Celebrimbor. For those who aren't keen on their Tolkien lore, Celebrimbor was tricked by Sauron thousands of years ago, under the guise of a high elf, who instructed him to craft the legendary rings of power, which were sent to the world's leaders. In secret, Sauron crafted the One Ring that would bind the wearers of all the other rings to his will. In the Bright Lord DLC, you will get to play as the Celebrimbor during his last days, after he learned of Sauron's deceit and challenged his armies on his own. Michael de Plater, Shadow of Mordor's Creative Director, claims that there is an amazing final boss fight against Sauron in this DLC, which should make up for the anticlimactic finale of Talion fighting the Black Hand.

"...what I'm most excited about in The Bright Lord is that we got the chance to respond to player feedback from the main game," de Plater said.  "In particular we got to deliver a really epic final Boss Fight against the Dark Lord himself that combines battling against Sauron with enemies from the Nemesis System and making full use of the power of the One Ring."

While no release date has been set, the Bright Lord DLC of Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor is expected to to launch soon and should be included in its season pass.
