Adding yet another entry to my “Plastic I Must Own” list, SH Figuarts is making a Luigi action figure to go alongside their Mario figure from earlier this year.

SH Figuarts’ Luigi figure will feature the same high level of articulation as his brother’s figure, offering the first truly posable figure of the world’s best-known Player-2. With his slightly longer arms, legs, torso and neck, Luigi’s articulation should make him even more posable than Mario. It’s hard to tell from the announcement page, but it appears that the figure will include accessories like a red turtle shell, a brick block, a figure stand with posing support and a pair of extra hands that can be swapped out. Sifting through the Japanese text, it appears that the figure is expected for a December 2014 release.

The announcement page also reveals that a new diorama play set will also be available. This play set includes short and tall red pipes, a piranha plant, a coin and a Buzzy Beetle.

Figuarts site is entirely in Japanese, meaning there may be more details than we announce here, so make sure to check out the full site for more images and info.
