Seth Killian Officially Departs from Sony

Marvel vs. Capcom 3
Capcom

The former face of Capcom has announced he has parted ways from Sony Santa Monica.

Thanks to CVG, we know that Seth Killian has officially confirmed on his Twitter that he left Sony Santa Monica Studios this past December. He mentioned amicably parting ways with the studio, remaining on good terms. Killian cited inspiration from lesser-known, indie titles to go out and try to do similar projects on his own. Killian leaving Sony this past December means that he was only there for roughly a year and a half, since he left Capcom to go to Sony Santa Monica in June 2012. Killian’s main work with the company was towards the development of PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.

Seth Killian has been an active member of the fighting game community for many years and acted as a community manager at Capcom throughout the development and releases of both Street Fighter 4 and Marvel vs. Capcom 3. He has also been a guest commentator at the Evolution world championship tournament that is held annually in Las Vegas, which he founded in order to help promote Capcom’s involvement with the community their games help unite. The original last boss of Street Fighter 4 is actually named in reference to Seth Killian.
