Mojang, the makers of Minecraft, have finally released its new card and board hybrid game, Scrolls.

Scrolls is a new strategy collectible card game where you will, "use the power of creatures, spells, and ancient machines to gain the edge in battle, deploying your forces by using scrolls: some rare, some common some brutal, some tactical." For the people who have already bought Scrolls, or were a part of the Alpha or Beta testing, you're in luck -- you'll be getting the full game on all formats for free. For others, the full game will cost $5 or you can play Scrolls' free demo.

The game looks like a combination of Hearthstone and The Banner Saga -- you must strategically place your pieces on a board while at the same time using cards to complete your actions. You earn in-game gold no matter what match type you play, which you can use to buy the scrolls needed for combat. In Scrolls, not only do you have units, but also spells, enchantments and structures to use against your foes. There's also a crafting system where you combine three of the same scroll into a more awesome version of itself.

Get your friends ready to play some Scrolls with you today on PC, Mac or Android and start collecting those 350 scrolls out there.
