Exploring Tallon IV has never been as amazing as it is in this custom emulation of Metroid Prime on the Oculus Rift.

YouTube user Chadtronic has been uploading videos of the some of our favorite games being played on the Oculus Rift VR headset, such as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and the original Mario Kart. This time, Chadtronic has successfully ported the first Metroid Prime title onto the Oculus Rift. Just watch this video and witness how Chad's innovative use of the Oculus Rift headset with this classic first-person shooter is nothing short of astounding.

In order to pull this off, a Dolphin Emulator program was used in conjunction with the TriDef 3D to simulate the 3D effects onto the Oculus Rift. XPadder was also used in order for button-mapping the GameCube's controller for the Oculus Rift controls and to assist with the headset's integration into Metroid Prime's camera system. Bravo, Chad. Bravo.
