Mewtwo is still coming to Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, as director Masahiro Sakurai claims we'll be seeing the legendary psychic Pokemon soon.

Last year, Nintendo dropped the bomb that it would be releasing Mewtwo as DLC for Super Smash Bros. on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS and then basically sealed its lips. EventHubs has some updated news for fans of the game — not only is Mewtwo still on the way, but it will be coming out sooner rather than later. This is great news considering how awesome of a character Mewtwo was in the last installments of the series.

Super Smash Bros' director, Masahiro Sakurai, was the one who came forward with the information in the video above. He realized how distressed fans were becoming with no news on the DLC pack and decided to put their fears to rest:

So with regards to my anouncement-ish announcement, it isn't anything to do with something new I'm working on; it's nothing like that. Rather, it's about the release of the Mewtwo DLC character, which we may have made the fans quite worried about (without any updates since the character was announced in October 2014). With regards to that, the character is coming along just fine. In fact, it's pretty much done.

The DLC was announced for Spring 2015 (which has just officially started) and Sakurai went on to say that it will be released within the original time frame. Hopefully, there won't be much more time until Mewtwo will be fighting with the best of them in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.
