The mobile version of this popular amusement park simulator will play quite differently than its main format on PC.

Digital Spy reports that Atari has stepped forward to say that the PC version of Rollercoaster Tycoon 4 will be completely different from its mobile/tablet counterpart.

"We can't share that much, but [PC] wil ldefinitely be a completely different game," Atari's Senior Director of Marketing, Anthony Chien, told Digital Spy. This was made in reference to the fan criticism that Rollercoaster Tycoon 4 would be made at a lower integrity in order to port the game easily from PC to the mobile format.

Chien also has stated that, "it's trying to deliver as much as we can. First is the mobile version, then it's the PC experience. I think a lot of people are vocal about wanting to see the PC version first before the mobile, but our strategy is mobile first."

The mobile version of Rollercoaster Tycoon 4 will include free-to-play aspects to it, with "freemium" content coming in the form of spending in-game currency to speed up the building process for new rides and attractions. Like most mobile titles, this in-game currency will be able to be bought by using the player's actual money.

The mobile version of Rollercoaster Tycoon 4 will come with $5 of free in-game currency and will debut on iOS devices within a few weeks, with an estimated launch window of early April. The PC version of Rollercoaster Tycoon 4 is due out sometime by the end of the year.
