Claire Redfield gets surrounded by a group of soldiers due to her anti-B.O.W. activities and wakes up in a prison filled with zombies and monsters. Is this Resident Evil Revelations 2 or Code Veronica?

Capcom has released the opening cutscene for Resident Evil Revelations 2, which brings us into some very familiar territory. The commercial starts off with a commercial showcasing the horrors of bio-terrorism done by the likes of Umbrella and Tricell over the years. As the advertisement continues, the charitable organization TerraSave is seen responding with medicine and supplies rescuing what appears to be the African towns of Resident Evil 5 and giving treatment to the innocent people who were caught up in Chris and Shiva's horrifying adventure a few years ago.

At a TerraSave party, Claire Redfield is seen interacting with her friends and meeting up with Moira Burton, a new addition to the group who is the daughter of her brother's longtime friend, Barry. Apparently, Moira has learned how to curse from Ellie's The Last of Us school of script-writing, because rebellious teenagers are supposed to curse like sailors.

A colleague of Claire's, Neil, interrupts the two ladies' reunion. Neil says there's something going on at Washington DC about a new virus. As Claire reassures him that Tricell is history,  Neil looks through a portfolio (hidden from Claire) that has a checklist with both Claire and Moira's names on it. Minutes after Neil walks away, the party is raided by armed soldiers. Surrounded by guns, Claire and Moira get injected with a chemical and fall unconscious, presumably to be sent to the prison where the game mainly takes place. This premise sounds all too familiar for those who remember the last Claire Redfield game, Resident Evil: Code Veronica.

Resident Evil Revelations 2 will debut on Feb. 17 for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Not a creepy beginning, but Revelations 2 will get there:
