Claire Redfield and Moira Burton try to make a daring escape in these screenshots and demo footage of Resident Evil Revelations 2.

AllGamesBeta has posted a walkthrough of Resident Evil Revelations 2's demo as well as a bunch of new screenshots that all prove that Capcom hasn't forgotten how to do survival horror. Unlike the shambling monstrosities of the previous Revelations game or the cliche action mechanics of RE6, this new Resident Evil puts its frights at the forefront of its gameplay. Having to play as Moira, who refuses to carry guns and only wields a flashlight, can be terrifying when she's away from Claire's side, especially when the monsters move that fast.

We kind of wish that the steroidal, slow-moving bad guy wielding a massive weapon trope was avoided in Revelations 2 in place of something a bit more creepy and memorable, but we'll take it. Given how the basic enemies are trying to change things around by running, we are hoping that Revelations 2 will try to change things around and avoid this slow, behemoth mini-boss archetype that was used throughout Resident Evil 4-6.

Resident Evil Revelations 2 will launch for PS3, PS4, PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One sometime in 2015.

Revelations 2 looks creepy as hell:
