Capcom and Valve are doing a super company team up with their recent announcement of a Resident Evil 6 and Left 4 Dead 2 crossover project. Characters from Left 4 Dead 2 will pop up in the upcoming PC version of Resident Evil 6, and baddies from Resident Evil 6 infest Left 4 Dead 2 on PC. The best news, however, is all of this content is free!
Resident Evil 6 owners can pick one of four survivors (Coach, Nick, Ellis, and Rochelle) from Left 4 Dead 2 when they are playing The Mercenaries No Mercy mode. Zombies Mini Tank and the Witch also make cameos in this mode. Gamers can download this new content on April 5th. The PC version of Resident Evil 6 comes out March 22nd.
Left 4 Dead 2 owners will face off against Resident Evil 6 enemies Ogroman, Napad, and Ogroman when the Valve zombie title comes out this spring.
"The Resident Evil 6 team really enjoyed working on this crossover, and we're confident that our fans will have a great time with it too," said Resident Evil 6 producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi. "We hope you enjoy this unique content."
But is this crossover really unique, and is all of this free PC zombie action a good thing? Let us know!
