In an effort to calm angry fans still disappointed in Ubisoft's decision to delay Rayman Legends on the Wii U, the developer has revealed an exclusive Challenge mode will be available this April.

Rayman Legends developers Michel Ancel and Michael Micholic took to the game's Facebook to announce the peace offering to Wii U fans. "We just wanted to reach out and let you know how truly humbled we were by the outpouring of support from the community and fans about the announcement of the delay of Rayman Legends," said Micholic.

Ancel and Micholic went on to explain that instead of just a gameplay demo, Wii U owners would be the first to be able to enjoy Rayman Legends' Challenge mode. The mode will consist of five levels (the Pit, the Land of the Dead, the Dojo, the Dungeon, and the Infernal Tower), and there will be weekly and monthly leaderboards. Up to five players can play at once, and the Wii U will be the exclusive home of the Dungeon level.

You can check out some gameplay from the mode below, and let us know if this latest olive branch is enough to make up for delaying the game until September in the comments.
