Project Awakened promises gamers a chance to create their own character's super powers in an ever evolving world, and Phosphor Games Studio has released an impressive Unreal 4 Engine tech demo to show off their game's potential. If these visuals don't help fund their current Kickstarter campaign, we will be disappointed.

The demo gives a brief overview on how players can customize their characters, right down to the very veins of their protagonist's forearms. With all this rich texture to play with, a customized outfit is a must, and the video devotes the final chapter displaying some of the fashion one wears during some world beating conflicts. The video, which plays on a gamer's love for ever shifting identities, ends with the pointed question, "Who do you want to be?" Personally, we'd love to dodge gunfire looking like Boba Fett.

The bad news for this proposed PC title is that the Kickstarter campaign ends March 6th, and to date the developer has amassed just $215,000 of its $500,000 target. Will this tech demo sway PC gaming loyalists to support this customized laden adventure? Phosphor Games Studio is determined to create, in their own words, "a whole new way at of looking at games."

Check out the Unreal Engine 4 tech demo and tell us if you're as crazy about it as we are.
