Although NetherRealm Studios has yet to release its plans for Mortal Kombat X's DLC, rumors are already making waves about future characters for the fighting game.

Videogamer reports that, after its April release, Mortal Kombat X will be getting DLC in June that will include a new playable character -- Predator. Most of us will know Predator as the main character in the Predator movie series, but now rumors hint the character might be making an appearance in the Mortal Kombat series as well. Additionally, there's a chance Dillon, one of the soldier's who takes on the alien hunter in the first film, could join the game as well. It seems that Dillon will be pretty true to life in the video game since Carl Weathers, the actor who played the character in the movie, reportedly offered up his likeness for the in-game version.

Though nothing has been confirmed by NetherRealm or Warner Bros., this wouldn't be the first time movie icons were added to a Mortal Kombat game. Nightmare on Elm Street's Freddy was offered as DLC previously, and even gaming icon Kratos, from Sony's God of War made an appearance in the past. It also wouldn't be the first time Predator was offered as add-on content. You might recall his appearance in Call of Duty: Ghosts last year.

Since all parties involved are declining comment, we'll just have to wait and see what's up with future Mortal Kombat X content. The game proper is due to arrive on April 17 for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, as well as the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
