This detailed art-simulator lets you design and sketch your own Pocket Monster drawings to help create some rather impressive fan art.

According to Gematsu, Nintendo of Japan has announced that Pokemon Art Academy is going to be coming out for the Nintendo 3DS in Japan. Pokemon Art Academy will offer detailed lessons in how to draw over 40 different Pokemon. The game will offer a number of painting tools and ways to create your own portraits of your favorite Pokemon however you see fit. There are also going to be design templates featuring over 100 different Pokemon. Based on footage from Pokemon Art Academy (provided below), this game goes into elaborate detail in regards to the sketching process. Ultimately, you will be able to share the works that you are proud of on the Nintendo Miiverse in order to showcase your talent for all to see.

Pokemon Art Academy is expected out in retail stores and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS on June 19 in Japan for the price of 3,619 yen (roughly $35). Unfortunately, no form of Western release has been mentioned in regards to Pokemon Art Academy. Given the widespread popularity of Pokemon and the fact that the game is an adaptation of Art Academy: Lessons for Everyone, which was launched worldwide in 2012, we have a feeling we will be drawing Psyduck, Pikachu, Snorlax and all of our other favorites on a Nintendo 3DS rather soon.
