Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has unveiled the PlayStation 4 Ultimate Player Edition, which will features a 1TB hard drive.

The European PlayStation Blog has announced the PlayStation 4 Ultimate Player Edition will be launching next month. This new version of the PlayStation 4 console will feature a 1TB hard drive. Unfortunately, no other features were revealed for the system and no type of North American release was mentioned, but we're expecting one soon. A few weeks ago, we learned that a new PS4 model was in development that featured a larger hard drive and a power source that required less watts. The console is also slightly lighter in weight compared to the original PS4 model.

Earlier this month, Xbox's Major Nelson announced the new 1TB Xbox One console after it was inadvertently leaked by Amazon. The new Xbox One console features a redesigned controller that has a 3.5 mm headset jack and readjusted Left and Right Bumpers. Also, Xbox One controllers can now update wirelessly without having to physically connect to the system. The 1TB Xbox One comes with Halo: The Master Chief Collection and is priced at $399.99.

Unfortunately, no type of pricing or bonuses were revealed for the PlayStation 4 Ultimate Player Edition. Furthermore, the Ultimate Player Edition was announced for a July 15 release only in the European and PAL territories so far, but we expect a North American version will be announced shortly.
