Plants vs. Zombies 2 Finally Has a Release Date, Sort of

You read that right. Plants vs. Zombies 2 is coming out this July. Better get your lawnmowers ready.

It's taken a ridiculously long time (according to some) for PopCap to release a sequel to the greatest game ever in the history of games (according to some others). On Monday, PopCap finally wised up, and announced Plants vs. Zombies 2: It's About Time (yes, that's the subtitle) was coming out this summer.

To commemorate the occasion, PopCap took a page out of the Taco Bell playbook, and created a video featuring people of all shapes, sizes, ages, and internet popularity asking one simple question: Where's the Plants vs. Zombies sequel. Now that we know when it's coming out, the wait is even more excruciating.

The first game was originally released on PC, but found its way to other platforms like iOS, Android, XBLA, and Vita eventually. We don't know what we'll be playing PvZ2 on just yet, but you can believe when it arrives, we'll be playing a lot of it.
