Soccer balls get swapped out for Pokeballs now that Adidas has officially collaborated with Nintendo for the sake of the Japanese soccer.

Soccerly reported that Japan's national football team has announced that Pikachu is going to be their official mascot going into the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Accompanying the yellow, electric mouse will be 10 other of our favorite Pokemon from the franchise's history. Pancham, Litleo, Meowth, Charmander, Bulbasaur and Squirtle are just a few of the other Pokemon that will help endorse the Japanese national soccer team.

Adidas and Nintendo had reached an agreement in order to develop the uniforms and logos of the Japanese national football team. Be on the lookout for the Japanese "Samurai Blue" soccer team during the 2014 FIFA World Cup when the tournament starts on June 6.
