Persona 5 Finally, Actually Confirmed for US Release

Thought it had been anticipated, speculated, and all but confirmed, Persona 5, the next entry in Atlus' highly successful RPG series will be coming to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 in the U.S. next year.

Neither Atlus nor Sony had much else to say on the subject of Persona 5, but that it was mentioned at all made fans happy. After the success of Persona 3, Persona 4, and Persona 4 Arena, it didn't really come as much of a surprise that Persona 5 would be ported out of Japan. Fans can expect the RPG to arrive shortly after it's release overseas, though even that release date isn't solid just yet.

What little we do know of Persona 5 is that it will star yet another young protagonist with glasses, and there will be strange goings on in the big city. We imagine there will also be some demons to fight, and some visits to the Velvet Room. We'll find out when it finally releases in 2015.
