Persona 2: Eternal Punishment is now available on the PlayStation Network, bringing all of the original game's content to PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and PlayStation Portable.

The game is set in Sumaru City and is sort of its own contained story that has nothing to do with the events in Persona 2: Innocent Sin. It stars a magazine reporter named Maya Amano and a group of her friends who try to track down a serial killer called the Joker.

But instead of donning utility belts and cowls to take down enemies, Maya and the crew can enlist the aid of demons that they encounter in battles. This mechanic is par for the course of a Persona game, but Eternal Punishment is unique in that it also has a rumor system in which players collect and trade the whispers they've heard in the game.

Unfortunately, one rumor has it that the game isn't running on the Vita and PSP yet. Sony is working on a fix, but at the moment, Persona 2 is only playable on the PS3.

But one the fix goes through, you can download the title for $9.99 from the PlayStation Store and then set up your own rumor mill!
