PaRappa the Rapper is one of the original PlayStation All-Stars and recently made his return to a Sony console as a fighter in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. Dred Foxx, the main who voices the rapping puppy, wants to harness the steam from the renewed interest in the character to petition for a third PaRappa game.

In an interview with Junkie Monkeys, Foxx talks about PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, SuperBot Entertainment, and Parappa the Rappa 3. He says he's spent some time with the game and loves what SuperBot did in terms of breathing new life into a few of the more classic characters while still retaining the style that made them unique in the first place.

He chalks Sony cutting ties with SuperBot up to backdoor industry politics and the need for sales. "SuperBot Entertainment being released from SONY after only a couple of months is nothing but "nutty politics"..period. It's the corporates. Just like the ones who control the music industry, they have no grassroots involvement. They deal in sales," said Foxx.

"What's really unfortunate is the dedicated true games and developers who lost hours of sleep, years of time + money investments, and creativity just so a project so anticipated can wind up on a shelf..or on Ebay for .99 cents… sad, but true. SuperBot keep moving forward! There's so much more. If you need me on deck for voice projects I'm a free agent!"

When asked about his efforts to get PaRappa the Rapper 3 made, he cited the fans around the world who have been vocal about their love of the series on his Facebook fan page. Foxx gets messages from Indonesia, Spain, Portugal, the UK, Japan, and the USA who are clamoring for a third game in the series.

"Can you hear me SONY? " said Foxx. "The original crew is all for it, we just need the right person at SCEA or SONY Japan (where PTR is enormous!) to hear the cheers of devoted followers, fans, and most important… consumers!"
