The little Android console that could will finally be delivered to its initial Kickstarter backers starting on March 28th.

Though the full retail launch won't take place until June, the people who helped get the Ouya off the ground will be happy to hear they'll be getting early access to the anticipated console. The Ouya consoles will be sent out in waves, but the company stressed it will keep its backers in the loop on when to expect their systems.

In addition to revealing a timetable for the consoles to arrive, the Ouya team also announced there were new games in development from some top tier creators. Kim Swift (Portal, Quantum Conundrum), will be developing a brand new title exclusive to the Ouya. "Though the title will definitely appeal to core gamers in terms of skill and difficulty, it really has a completely unexpected, imaginative slant that's totally at home on this console," Swift said.

Minority Media will be porting over its Papa and Yo title to the Android system, and Tripwire Interactive (Killing Floor), is planning on bringing The Ball to Ouya in March. Chronoblade will also be getting an Ouya port thanks to nWay.

The biggest news though was the addition of Kellee Santiago, co-founder of thatgamecompany, to the Ouya team. Santiago will be heading up developer relations for Ouya. "This is the first console company that really understands how important it is to remove the barriers to development," Santiago said. "By freeing up the development process, Ouya is opening up new doors in console gaming.”

Now that you know even more about what's coming, are you any more or less excited for the Ouya's arrival?
