Oh, Nintendo -- you had us at Sheik. Forget the Wii Fit Trainer, these are the amiibo figures you were really waiting for the Big N to release.

NIntendo of Japan's official amiibo website has revealed that Lucario, Lucina, Bowser, Toon Link, Sheik, Ike, Meta Knight, Dedede, Shulk, Sonic the Hedgehog and Mega Man are going to be the newest additions to its line of NFC figurines. As of now, Nintendo's amiibo figures are going to be compatible with Super Smash Bros., Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Mario Kart 8, Mario Party 10, Yoshi's Woolly World, Hyrule Warriors and Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, all on the Wii U. For the 3DS, the amiibo figures will work with Super Smash Bros. and Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy Plus. We have a feeling more first-party Nintendo titles in the future will utilize these figures in some capacity.

According to the website, Lucario, Lucina, Bowser, Toon Link, Sheik, Ike, Meta Knight and Dedede will have their figures launch on Jan. 22 in Japan. It is expected that we will be getting this next series of amiibo figures sometime in February.
