The NPD Group, a firm which tracks video game sales, announced that over 20 million units of Nintendo 3DS titles have been sold in the United States. In March, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon led the pack with 365,000 copies sold, and its combined totals of physical and digital units are now at 415,000. These strong numbers led to a 50% increase in 3DS game sales in March.

Another huge 3DS seller last month was Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity, which took in over 145,000 combined digital and physical units. One of the system's most critically acclaimed titles, Fire Emblem Awakening, took in 64,000 combined copies in March, and to date it has sold over 240,000 units.

Sales of Nintendo 3DS sales should continue to trend upwards with the April 24th release of LEGO City Undercover: The Chase Begins. Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D is another anticipated title, and it comes out May 24th.
