Ninja Turtles Games vs. Transformers Games: ’80s Edition
It's a totally '80s dream match! Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles vs. the Transformers! Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows shelled its way onto game consoles this week, which makes now a better time than ever to consider that age old question: "Which radical '80s franchise has the best games?"
Transformers
Best game: Transformers: Fall of Cybertron
Fan favorite character: Grimlock
Most disappointing game: The Transformers: Mystery of Convoy
The worst thing to ever happen to them: Michael Bay
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Best game: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time
Fan favorite character: Michelangelo, probably because he's a party dude.
Most disappointing game: Turtles in Time: Re-Shelled
The worst thing to ever happen to them: Michael Bay
This battle wasn't even close for the boys in green. There've been so, so many great Ninja Turtles games over the years that it's tough for other multimedia franchises to compete. With their constant reinvention, and with the constant release of new TMNT cartoons, it's clear that the Turtles are timeless heroes in a half-shell... although that's not to say that Transformers aren't pretty damn sweet as well — it's just that the Turtles have better games. Sorry, Prime!
